Performance Training in Fort Lauderdale
Pure Kinetics is a performance training facility built for people who train seriously — current athletes, former athletes getting back to it, runners, and HYROX competitors. Training is coached by Dr. Blake Pennock, DC, CSCS, in one-on-one or semi-private (2–6 person) formats — programmed to your sport, your history, and your body, not a whiteboard workout of the day.
Who trains here
- Former athletes who want real programming again — the structure of a team strength program, adapted to a body with some miles on it
- Runners — strength and conditioning built around a running calendar, including race-specific blocks (injured? start here instead) (knee-pain-running-injuries-fort-lauderdale)
- HYROX competitors — event-specific preparation across strength, engine, and the transitions between them
- Active adults who've outgrown generic personal training and want progressive, tested programming
What makes this different from a regular gym or trainer
The rehab side lives in the same room. Most training injuries aren't emergencies — they're aches and pains that either get managed intelligently or turn into layoffs. Because Pure Kinetics is also a sports rehab clinic (chiropractic, shockwave, TECAR, dry needling, soft-tissue work), a flare-up means your program gets modified the same week — not a referral out, a month off, and a restart. And the reverse: every rehab plan here ends in real training, not a sheet of clamshells.
Formats
- One-on-one training — fully individualized coaching and programming
- Semi-private training (2–6) — individualized programs, shared coached sessions
- Remote/hybrid coaching — programming and check-ins if you travel or train elsewhere
Common questions
I haven't trained seriously in years. Is this too advanced?
No — "former athlete restarting" is one of the most common profiles here. Programming starts from an assessment of where you are now, not where you were at 22.
Do I need to be injury-free to start?
No. Training around an issue — and resolving it in parallel — is the core of the model. An injury risk assessment is part of onboarding.
Where are you, and how do I start?

Individual results vary. Training programs are adapted to each person following assessment.
